The International Euro Arab Film Festival AMAL has been invited to two of the most important international film festivals of the Gulf region: Gulf Film Festival in Dubai and Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival in Qatar. The coordinator of the International Euro Arab Film Festival AMAL is currently attending as a special guest two of the more important festivals of Arab cinema that are celebrated in the Gulf region: The Gulf Film Festival (GFF 2008): Whose first edition will be held from the 13 to the 18 of April in Dubai (UAE). This festival is focused on the films made in the Gulf region Arab countries (United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Iraq and Yemen). Al Jazeera International Documentary Film Festival (JIF 2008): Which 4th edition will be held in Doha, capital of Qatar, between the 21 and the 24 of April. This represents an interesting opportunity to promote AMAL Festival in the Middle East and to attract the Arab cinema directors and producers to submit their latest works to our festival. Moreover it’s an excellent occasion to know first hand what is being done in the cinematographic scene in the Gulf counties.
