17-2-2009: The Amal Festival, organized by the Araguaney Foundation, will be present in the cinema cycle named “Arab and American. The cinema as a mirror”, organized by Casa Arabe.

This cycle is being held these days in Casa Arabe in Madrid, until the 2nd of March. The attempt of Arab and Americans to know each others and to be understood in spite of the distances is reflected in films like “The colour of the olive trees” directed by Carolina Riva and “Viva Guevara” directed by Maha Shahbah, but also in documentaries like “Free Kick” directed by Marcelo Piña, that was among the nominees in the category of Best Documentary in last edition of International Euro Arab Film Festival AMAL 08, and furthermore yielded to Casa Arabe by the Araguaney Foundation, or “ I am Palestinian” directed by Osama Qashoo that was also projected in the awaited Galician appointment with the Arab cinema.
