After several years of close-knit relationship with the Araguaney Foundation, the sculptor Acisclo Manzano widens his collaboration with the AMAL Festival as designer of the trophies of its VI edition. Acisclo Manzano gives free rein to his imagination and he creates an artistic trophy with Galician sign for the best productions of euro arab cinema. Like that, this sculptor breaks off with the line of the last editions. This one isn’t the first time that the sculptor participates in the Festival. In AMAL 07 Acisclo Manzano Freire participated as creative of the figure for the jury, as gratitude to the participation of the jury in the Festival of the cinema. Nevertheless, the Galician sculptor excelled because he designed the emblematic Araguaney Trophy of Gold, the maximum prize that the Araguaney Foundation presents since the 80s. This trophy is for the people, the organizations or the initiatives that stand out for their significance in the cultural, economic and social development of Galicia. Araguaney Foundation-Bridge of Cultures has many works of Acisclo Manzano for decades. Some of this works has been chosen for decorate the different large rooms of the Hotel Meliá Araguaney. Acisclo Manzano Freire was national medal of junior art. He has done individuals expositions in numerous cities in Spain and in the rest of the world. At present he is represented in all the Museums of Galicia, in institutional collections and in the others particulars collections of a great importance too. The 2008 was a year very important in his career. He turned into the number three of the ourensanos that holds a post in The Real Academia Galega de Belas Artes, after Senén Pousa and Buciños.
